Royal Air Force Hawk T1

This plane should look at least a little familiar to you.

Look past the dark blue livery and underneath is the same jet flown by the Red Arrows. The Hawk is another RAF training vehicle, the last step for trainee pilots before stepping into frontline aircraft.

The Hawk is every bit as capable as its Red Arrow sibling, able to execute rolls and loops with ease.

This next image caught the sun almost as badly as I did.

I really love the way the sun has caused a gradient through the colours of the rainbow.

I really like the look of the Hawk. I think it looks very fetching in blue and it moves like a fish.

For those of you still struggling on,  we’re almost to the end now. Thanks for sticking with me. It’s worth it – the next two displays really are incredible.

  1. The Breitling Wingwalkers flew over Knaphill today (29th August) around 3.15, probably on the way from Dunsfold to Cardiff, but I didn’t have my camera at the ready 😦
